Imagine: as a healthcare provider, you are treating a patient with swallowing problems. There is a lot involved. You have an eye for the person in front of you, including their loved ones. You also collaborate with an occupational therapist, a doctor, and nurses. Supporting healthcare providers as best as possible with guidelines, that is the task of Stichting KwaliteitsImpuls Langdurige Zorg (SKILZ). They work with various professionals and interest groups on establishing and qualifying guidelines. Aligning a text between two people is sometimes already complicated. Let alone in a context of many different people who have not worked together before. How do you still ensure a streamlined, efficient process?

Tailor-made with common ground

A digital tool that supports collaboration between ever-changing teams? And that also facilitates all the different stages of the process, from writing, reviewing, all the way to authorization? That sounds like a platform we developed before, with Akwa GGZ. SKILZ saw that too. So why not use this platform togéther? No sooner said than done. Thanks to the joined forces of these parties, the shared platform innovates twice as fast. And with tailor-made features for each one individually. Up to us the task to steer this collaboration in the right direction technically and to keep fueling the fire for improvement. Mission accomplished, if you ask us!

Super-fast co-development (and improvement)

Improving the quality of care even further. It is the common denominator of AKWA GGZ and SKILZ: one in mental healthcare, the other in long-term care. The platform they share is content-secure, each of course has their own guidelines, but the structure and functionality are the same. If one has something that is also useful for the other, we turn that feature on for both. Mark van den Corput, designer at Freshheads: “We kickstarted this great collaboration with a joint roadmap session. And if we really need to step on the gas, the two parties combine their sprint weeks so we can move forward immediately.” If this isn't a super-fast way to innovate!

“At SKILZ, many different working groups work on guidelines: healthcare professionals, but also representatives of clients. It is important that everyone is heard”, explains Femke Aanhane, program manager at SKILZ. “Users find writing the guidelines in the editor of the platform very convenient.
