Supporting healthcare providers as well as possible with guidelines, that is the task of Stichting KwaliteitsImpuls Langdurige Zorg (SKILZ). They work with various professionals and interest groups to establish and qualify guidelines. Coordinating a text between two people can already be complicated. Let alone in a context involving many different people who have not worked together before. So how do you ensure a streamlined, efficient process?

Customization with common denominators

A digital tool that supports collaboration between ever-changing teams? And one that also facilitates all the different process steps, from writing, revising, to authorization? That sounds like a platform we previously developed, with Akwa GGZ. SKILZ noticed that too. So why not use this platform together? Said and done. "At SKILZ, many different working groups work on guidelines: healthcare professionals, as well as representatives of clients. It's important that everyone is heard,” explains Femke Aanhane, program manager at SKILZ. “Users find writing the guidelines in the platform's editor very convenient. This meets a crucial criterion.” And at the front? “Professionals and clients easily find the guidelines they are looking for. That's great, especially in our field where you have to assess what fits in each situation and where issues can be complex. This platform supports healthcare providers in making the best decisions based on guidelines."

Rapid co-development

Further enhancing the quality of care. This is the common goal of Akwa GGZ and SKILZ: one in mental health care, the other in long-term care. The platform they share is internally partitioned, each has its own guidelines, but the structure and functioning are the same. Does one have a feature that is also useful for the other? We activate that feature for both. Mark van den Corput, designer at Freshheads: “We kickstarted this wonderful collaboration with a joint roadmap session. And if we really need to accelerate, the two parties synchronize their sprint weeks so we can proceed immediately.” If this isn’t a super-fast way of innovating!
