Platform for collective development of standards
An online platform to facilitate the entire writing and decision-making process and to subsequently publish standards: that is what we built with and for AKWA GGZ. And specifically for the roles and steps that are important when writing and authorizing new standards for mental healthcare. Working group members collaborate in real-time in the editor, ensuring they always have the correct version in front of them. And that is pleasant, especially in sensitive processes like these. At the front end, GGZ Standaarden is a database with all available recommendations. Quick and easy to find for professionals and clients in mental healthcare.

Searching for a real solution
People are creatures of habit. If you want them to use a platform, it really has to solve something. Janneke: “Because of Freshheads, I think more in terms of goals. We investigate the solution for this together. Everything with an eye on the people who have to work with it. That way we add something to the process, something that makes collaborating easier.” The foundation is there, and yet we keep tweaking. The world changes, and so do the users of the platform. “Working on a care standard is intensive. Especially since time is scarce in this sector. By supporting professionals as best as possible with this platform, it helps them work better and more efficiently.”
Akwa GGZ and SKILZ develop together
What if there is another party in healthcare with the exact same work process? Simple: benefit from this platform together! That's how it went for Akwa GGZ and SKILZ. Both work on the quality of care with a comparable process. The platform they share is secure in terms of content, but the structure and operation are the same. The platform now innovates twice as fast. Technically, we manage the collaboration in the right direction and light the fire for improvement. Janneke: “SKILZ comes up with great ideas that I would never have thought of myself. So the collaboration is valuable for my own thinking about the platform as well.”
Grip on quality mental healthcare
“The process of commenting on and authorizing new standards is faster thanks to this platform, without compromising on quality,” says Janneke Kramers, project manager AKWA GGZ. “And, not unimportantly: all recognized standards, viewed from both science and practice, are published on the public side of the platform. Quickly accessible to anyone looking for them. As a healthcare provider, you always have the best solution within reach. These standards, which we co-wrote and aligned in the platform's editor, are essential for achieving quality in mental healthcare across our entire country.”
