
From handwritten work order to digital workshop
We designed an application where mechanics can view their work orders for that day, including a checklist that guides mechanics step by step through what needs to be done. The next step: developing a digital workshop program, including an online environment for planners and administrative staff. A digital customer portal was added to that, where customers can schedule appointments themselves 24 hours a day, report damage, and rent additional vehicles. Finally came the digital planning tool, which makes it possible to create the schedule, assign work orders, see which tasks are in the queue per mechanic, and have realtime insight into the status of all vehicles on site. This now provides a complete system to manage, control, and keep the workshop running.


Digitizing in steps
Centraal Beheer and Freshheads have been working together since 2015. The Climate Store is part of a series of smart, innovative services. “Because of our previous experiences with Freshheads, we immediately had the confidence that they would make this a success,” Karin says. “The platform above all had to be user-friendly, and that succeeded. We see that users easily and quickly find what they are looking for!”
More positive impact than expected
Thanks to the digital workshop program, the staff in and around the workshop now gets much more done, with more enjoyment at work. Saskia: “The shortage of technical staff in the labor market is no longer an obstacle to growth, because with the app we can also get less skilled staff up-to-speed.” The road to growth now no longer has obstacles for Becx Rentals, because the process is clearer, faster, and runs with fewer errors. “Communication to employees and to customers is much clearer, which is why we are now known as a professional and serious party.”
