A booking flow that fits - now and in the future

The platform on which Roan offers its luxury camping holidays was developed together in 2019. From design and API-integration to the company's new CRM – up to and including a custom-made booking flow for customers WITH the possibility to make changes up until the day before departure. How great is that? And our journey together is far from over. Every year we set up a roadmap to further refine and expand this booking platform. Makes sense: the customer changes, the offer changes and the world changes. And we are as flexible as a holidaymaker on the road. Let’s go!

A roadmap to success

How do you make a years-long collaboration fun and successful? One important ingredient for that is the roadmap. With this, we map out the steps for the coming period, which we work out in sprints. During those sprints, Product Owner Thom of Roan spends one day a week at Freshheads. Thom: “We really work as a team with one task then. They from their expertise, me from mine. Those short lines of communication are great. That way we keep up the speed and I'm always up to date on what's happening.” A roadmap is not set in stone. Thom: “At Freshheads it's never 'yes and amen'. From their expertise they protect Roan from useless interventions or non-working features. We keep each other sharp.”

Conversion keeps increasing significantly

“Searching and booking has become increasingly accessible over the years,” says Thom van Herwijnen from Roan. That is perhaps the most important gain. For holidaymakers, but also for Roan. Because conversion has risen significantly. That is, for example, because people can now select their own preferred spot on the campsite of their choice. Or because they can search for their campsite on a map of Europe. Through Mijn Roan, where they can tweak their booking up to the last moment. Because the website itself is easily findable in Google thanks to structured data and runs like a charm. And because visitors get even more relevant search results at the start of the booking process.
