House of Covebo is a family of 9 companies focused on placing temporary workers in construction, engineering, production, and logistics. But especially in construction and engineering, more and more workers are choosing to work as freelancers. House of Covebo sees this target group as an interesting growth market. An online marketplace where companies offer jobs and freelancers choose tasks seems like a logical move to tap into this market. The employment agency enlisted Freshheads for the concept, design, and technical implementation.

How do you start launching a new online marketplace? Simple, by not building an online marketplace. Instead, we developed a relatively simple website in 6 weeks, which consolidates all the freelance jobs that the separate companies of House of Covebo have open in construction and technology: Aanpakkers.nl. Freelancers can easily browse through the extensive list of jobs. Is there an interesting job among them? Then they fill in a short form. House of Covebo uses the form's content to assess the quality of the lead, after which recruiters connect the qualitative leads with clients. That's it. Benefit for freelancers: in their search for a new job, they only need to check one website. Benefit for House of Covebo: they present themselves with one brand to engage and attract freelancers, and based on the completed forms, it becomes very clear whether the platform is reaching the right people.

“Before House of Covebo would fully commit to the idea of a platform, we first wanted to know: is there really a need and business opportunity here?” said Roel Tuerlings, digital strategist at Freshheads. “Even though there is not yet a complete platform, the leads are already coming in and being helped. This way, House of Covebo is already tapping into the growing market of freelancers.” Carolien Schoenman, project manager for freelancers at House of Covebo: “It's challenging to turn a wild initial idea - a new platform - into a concrete solution. There are so many directions you can go. Freshheads knows which steps you best take towards a successful platform. We chose Freshheads because they developed Werkspot and YoungOnes, and that rich experience certainly pays off.”
